Wesley 101
Newcomers and those interested in knowing more about
membership at Wesley are invited to join the eight week
class on United Methodism and Wesley Church. 
This class is offered quarterly, with the next class starting April 25th. Classes meet Sunday mornings at 9:30am or Wednesday evenings at 6:30pm.

Alpha is a 10 week course designed to explore the Christian faith in a non-threatening, relaxed environment. Learn more.


DISCIPLE BIBLE STUDY
 
Are you hungering for the Word of God? The DISCIPLE Bible Study Program can transform you into a strong disciple of Christ through in-depth study of Scripture. The DISCIPLE program is enriching, infomational, transformational, faith deepening, and better togeSign up for one of these four classes beginning in September:

Disciple 1: Becoming Disciples through Bible Study is a 34-week overview of the Bible.  Beginning with Genesis and continuing through Revelation, you will read approximately 80% of the Bible, moving through the Biblical story of Creation to the New Jerusalem.  The titles of the sessions along with theme words, theme verses, and major persons, events, and topics will fix the sequence of the Biblical story in your mind. 
Two class times are available:
  • Beginning Thursday, September 24, 10:00 a.m. noon in room #34; led by Charles and Barbara Thomison.
  • Evening class day/time/teacher TBA

Disciple 2:Into the Word Into the World (prerequisite Disciple I) is a 32-week study concentrating on Genesis, Exodus, Luke and Acts.  Appropriate connections are made to other parts of Scripture both through reading and study assignments and through the commentary in the study manual.

United Methodist Men
Members of UMM meet once a month on a Saturday for breakfast and fellowship.  There is sometimes a speaker who covers inspirational topics.  Sometimes, there are projects around the church and community that allow an opportunity to serve God’s kingdom. Wesley Sojourners
This is a travel/study group from the church. When the Sojourners travel to events, it is to serve as a witness to Christ and to see the way God is changing the lives of others. DivorceCare Seminar

Divorce is a life-changing event - you don’t have to go through it alone.  Learn how to cope with the pain of divorce and acquire tools to rebuild your future.  With weekly biblical teaching and encouragement, individuals gain insight into dealing with issues such as anger, depression, loneliness, finances, and children’s needs, along with several others.   The 13-week session will begin October 5th - you are welcome to join at any point in the session.  The group will meet on Monday nights at 7 p.m., under the leadership of Rev. Mi Hyeon Lee-Pattison.  Come and find help, discover hope, and experience healing.

 

GriefShare Seminar
 

Grief can come about from many life experiences:  the loss of a loved one, the termination of employment, or the loss of a home, to name a few.  Come together with others who understand what you are feeling.  Each session of the Grief Recovery Support Group will feature biblical teaching, encouragement, and information to help people successfully travel the road from mourning to joy.  Classes will be held on Tuesday evenings at 7 p.m., and Thursday afternoons at 4 p.m.
